I'll check back in a month when my slow-ass computer has finished loading the picture.
This girl I went to school with has a phobia of feathers, which should make me seem at least 1% normal in comparison.

Shocking Band*
Yep, Tom sounds like a twat there. It was like he tried to make himself sound like a legitimate singer instead of the whiny young dude he was when they were popular.
But, that was the charm of his voice at the time. It tapped into the angst and emotions of the kids at the time. Now that they're older, their music just doesn't measure up. If they evolve their sound to match their experience and age, then they might be good again. If they find themselves mired in pre-2000 adolescence then they'll cease to be legitimate and fade into memory, where they belong right now.

Meh, I never liked them, always thought they sounded terrible and just didn't get it. Obviously I'm missing something because they were clearly doing something right as shit loads of people seem to kiss the ground they walk on.

Meh, I got into them when I was 12-16. Then, I grew up and developed more mature tastes. I loved their live albums and the filthy banter. At that stage in my life, dirty jokes with bad words in them were the holy grail of humor. Their albums had that, along with catchy pop-punk about teen-aged awkwardness and angst. They were the penultimate adolescent band. As I grew, they didn't. So, I left them behind.

They want you back Ray...The reunion is for you!
22 May 2009, 23:23 UTC#700
Ha! I wouldn't mind it if they made music that appealed to me. I'll give their new stuff a listen and see what they have. If it's nothing special, I won't worry about it.

I agree with you Luke, never liked them...
