Hey guys,

Here's my latest project (outside of my "Mr. Safety" charactor).

I just wanted to post this video to show you all what my BASIC menues look like.

When you first put the DVD into the player, the intro video will play.. then the menu options will pop up. This menu is pretty standard because a lot of old people are going to buy this DVD as well, so keeping it simple in this case will increase sales later.

There are a number of things you can do with menues using Sony DVD Architech... So if anyone has any questions on it.. feel free to ask.

Sweet, I film derby footage too whenever there are shows around here, I might pick up a copy of this. The menu looked pretty good; simple, but easily navigated.

Edit: nvm about that question, I watched it again and realized that there was video in the background, I just wasn't paying attention when that part was going on, I only remembered the still shot behind the menu options.

Pretty sweet man, what do you use to make menus?

Looks good, but its too simple Safety, too simple. And I didnt like the way that the Tittle appeared. Too simple too.

The way this is set up (in the main menu) I have a looped video playing in the background and the buttons are made in Architech (in the foreground). The background video itself can be edited to fit the needs of the buttons. For example.. If I want to do some button animations, I can do that simply by putting a video together that will focus around the area of the buttons, then when I take the edited video into Architech (place it as "background media"), then I'll create a button selection area and add in a custom button image to use as a frame around the video (in the foreground).... hopefull that wasn't too confusing....

It's a pretty simple process and you can do just about anything you want.



If I wasn't doing this DVD for such an older crowd.. it wouldn't be as simple.

The people who are paying me for this project are between the ages of 35-80 and most of them are still blown away by the fact that I can make a DVD.... lol.. seriously.

True true, in that case its good. You're getting good at this Safety.

Architech its too hard to use?

Na.. it took me a few projects to really understand it's capabilities... It's pretty user friendly.

thats pretty rad, I have some derby footage from a fair thing they have around where I live. ill probably pick this up to then.
