Marijuana And Cops

if a cop pulls you over and he can smell marijuana in your car, is that enough reasonable doubt for him to search you?

the reason I ask is because me and "Brain Boitano" got booked yesterday and we were tripping out so hard.

I don't know much about legal stuff involving weed so don't take my word for it but I think they can search you yeh. but as I said im not completely sure.

Well in the UK the cops can pretty much search you for walking down the street looking like a suspicious individual. But anyway yeah, if they can smell it, they're gonna search.

yeah...they can search you if they smell it...thats if you live in the states right?...anything that makes them suspicious...its gay but legal

yeah I was tripping out so hard I had just finshed my bong and just started another one when the cop came and I fainted twice smaking my head of the car and the curb, I thought I was going to jail for sure

First off it is "probable cause" for a police officer to search and arrest you, not reasonable doubt. Pot has a very distinct smell and if I pull you over and you reek of it, I can search you and your car, because the courts standard for probable cause is "the police officer can explain in clear and simple terms why he/she believes you did what he/she is charging you for and a reasonable person would also believe the same based on the facts stated by the officer"

So if you reek of pot, there is no real way you can reek of pot without having smoked it or just been with someone who has and the cop is more then likely certified in “drug recognition” which gives him even more right to search you and your car.

yes the police can search your car if they smell the presence of marijuana. and its not reasonable doubt its probable cuase.

reasonable doubt is like saying "the officer couldnt of seen me(or anyone else) smoking becuase he was too far away and cant see well, there for he cant rightfuly say who did it"

just do your community service, pay your fine, and learn not to get cuaght.

Two weeks ago I got arrested for drunk driving because I started my car and turned on the cd player.
I got thrown in jail for 5 hours and woke up at 5 in the morning still drunk off my face for the innterrogation
If I get the maximum punishment ill get two years without my license.21 days in jail (I get this anyway) and ticket around 15-20000 kroner

I got cought at a party earlier this month... stoned as fuck.. I ran and hid in the basement... stayed down there for about an our and a half before some drunk fucker tried to bust out of a window upstairs then the cops found it necessary to search the entire house... sucked complete ass

me and two of my buddies got caught smoking pot behind a school in my dads car. The cop just took my pipe and weed and called my parents.
