Its not for everybody, but for those that do its there.

I myself HATE videos where people intentionally hurt themselves. Thats not remotely funny. People getting accidentally hurt is... but not on purpose. Different people like different things.

Just outta curiousity, which ones did you watch?

Some of them were good. But I think that my expectations were a little higher.

The Flying Squirrel was awesome, haha.

But whats up with that music choices? I felt like watching home videos from the 80s .

I watched the first 5..... to many to watch.

The first one was pretty funny, where the car just slowed up and kinda moved into you haha, the other stuff was pretty meh, I dunno but yeah.

Flying squirrel was pretty damn nice, some fair huge jumps.

The ice stuff..... pretty meh, it doesn't look good at all but I know that shit is cold as hell so it's just one of things.....

The fire incident was pretty insane, how the hell did he manage to do that?? :S Haha.

Bread, kinda skipped through it, looks fair funny.

Shall watch more later, some of the stuff is good, but other things just bore me, I like random stuff, random skits, but some of it isn't anyhing I particually enjoyed, shall see though...

Well then our job here is done. haha

I like revved up music myself; but for the most part, D2F sticks to older stuff that is just kinda outta the ordinary. We always tried to set ourselves apart from other groups - we did the type of stuff no one else was doing.

The thing that sets us apart the most is that you will almost never see one of our stunts somewhere else (at least not first). I mean yeah - we've done shopping carts. We've jumped into bushes. But we really don't want to watch that stuff, and assume no one else does either. I'm sure the homegrown scene has changed a lot since I was around - but when I was, it was mostly people punching eachother, jumping into bushes, skateboarding, and doing shopping carts. Most groups were pretty alike to everyone else. We tried to be different. Plus, we like random.

Its not for everyone, like I said - but a lot of people loved it, and it was pretty revolutionary for the scene in its own day.

Yeah, but try to find GOOD different music.

do you have all the masters for this footage? if so I hope your planning on re-editing it all.

I watched them all and there was a lot of stuff I hadn't seen before and some stuff I remembered seeing before but remembered that it was another group that made them, like the roller blading stunts and the costume pranks in the malls etc.
Yeh but it was like using a timemachine set back to the primetime of homegrown on CKF.
And the squirrel jumps are just too damn sweet

I personally have MOST of it - though some were deleted off my Hi8 tapes (overwritten by new footage when we were too poor to buy more) and recorded on to VHS - which Descend (Mr. Slick) has. I haven't even spoke with him in months (unfortunately), just because we each have our own seperate lives now - but I should be able to hunt him down easy enough and get them though.

Some of the crappier files (flying squirrel, shit tire, etc, flip out, etc.) were screwed up because I didn't have a good way to transfer the audio. Now I will be using a TV tuner card which will do quite well. I still don't have a DV camera. Image file not present in the recovered backup

I watched a couple of these clips...that's some old school stuff right there. Not just the fact that you guys did this long ago, but the music and video quality....it's as if its from the 80's or something heh.

I'm not sure who really...but a lot of people would make mention of D2F in the "best homegrown groups" threads in the past few years. I think D2F was over-hyped a bit in your absence by people who never really saw much of your work.

I think probably the reason it was so hyped (not to toot my own horn or anything.. I have a tendency of doing that sometimes though) was that in the early days of Home Grown we were known as one of, if not (and probably more likely) the TOP homegrown group. Every other group did very similar things, and we were fresh, new, exciting, with probably the most content, etc.

its like old video games - they get hyped up about how awesome they were - then you go back and play them and they aren't quite what you remember - though still good, they don't seem as spectacular next to something on an XBOX-360. Know what I mean?

My guess is that anyone that was going to nominate us for best homegrown probably saw our DVD release. We also used to have an awful lot of content on our website - much much more than I currently have. We had hours of footage on the website. Most of our fans saw all of it, and if not - then close.

We just aren't a hardcore - for the most part. I'll do my best to amaze you in the future though.
