A Good 3ccd Camera For Under $1000?

As you know I've been using a VX2000 (amazing camera) but now I don't have access to it anymore. I would love to own one, but that camera runs for $2000, and I don't have tyhat cash right now.

My old camera was a SOny DCR TRV22, very basic. I'm looking for a good 3CCD camera to use for Arse Marks, one that is easily usable and have clear quality picture. Any suggestions? I just read the thread below about Al's cam, that one doesn't look bad. ANyone else? Thanks guys

I have the pv-gs250, its pretty tight, except in lowlight, but I can make the most terribly dark shots look like old nightvision in editing. so I dont care, im not a quality slut.

BUT!! if I were you id take that $1000 and get 2 decent minidv cams and one would have to have nightshot/vision.

don't but a vx2000 sucks balls to be honest, my friend Tore has one...it's heavy like the vx1000, and it kills battery..also don't get a canon GL1...it's good, but it's extremely small...get a gl2 or somethen...but if I were u, keep browsing around...but if you find like one of them crap models for dirt cheap around 500 600 dolars, then buy it then...

It's heavy if you're weak and my battery lasts around 6 hours. VX2000>GL2

Didn't you say you were getting a VX2100? You got a GL2 over a VX?

gl2 is a good cam, but it a no brainer that the vx2100 is the best cam on the market in that price range.

DVC30 - size, low light, night vision

GL2 - audio

yes I work with both frequently. while both cameras are stock, the only thing the gl2 has on the dvc30 is the audio pickup, by miles.

I fixed it by buying a mic, problem solved.

just need to buy a mic with the dvc30

Keep saving and go for a 3CCD prosumer camera. You can get a DVC30 brand new for $1500.

one of my mates bought a JVC cam (a small black one).. it's 3CCD and was like 650 euros.. good quality and makes great photos as well (5 megapixels). It's a HD cam tho.
