Adware

Neither Adaware of Spybot can get rid of some fucking adware I have on my comp. I've tried running both upon start up and even then it still can't get rid of it.

Does anyone know of another program besides these 2?

Someone uploaded some program from Yates that worked for me really well, maybe they should reupload that.

have you guys noticed how many popups are on myspace.com? I get like 4 at a time its horrible

one has an awesome blocker that blocks a shitlaod of bad porn sites before they load as well as any other kind of adware spyware

like a pop up would come up and it would be like spyware doctor has found a spyware or adware intrusion attempt from yaddda yadda yadda would you like to blocl? then jsut click yes.
It is also a scanner as well and has some trojan protection

im huge on my computer protection shit so I like to have the best programs possible, as for the rest is all monitored by NORTON people who dont like norton, prolly are just on a norton hating bandwagon and cant really come up with reason as norton system works premier works great for an overall protection.

and for ads and popups, get yahoo toolbar.


Norton works great for me, dont know if you guys ever new it, but there are hacker intrusions on some myspace pages and ads. Norton blocks those intrusions. dont know if other programs do.

spyware doctor constantly keeps me from loading pages on torrent spy becaus eof the spyware int he adds, I could just click to ignore the blocks but id rather not

That did a shit load for me and it comes with a spyware/adware scanner.

Google whatever it is that you have.

sometimes you can't get rid of it unless you remove it manually.

most of the time I just copy and paste the name into google and I can find forums posting how to removed it.

Thats the problem...I cant find the name of what it is I have. I cant find it in task manager or in hijackthis..

Microsoft Anti Spyware Beta is pretty good, removed shit that Adaware and Sypbot couldn't remove for me.

Yeah just downloaded that. I've used a total of 4 different programs now.

I installed Sygate firewall so it's blocking everything...but I'll turn it off and see if I still get the random po-ups.

Im also having this odd virus where it promotes shit for me on myspace and on aim.....

like if im logged off on aim, it will log on and put an away message up for some webcam porn site.

It will also post bullshit myspace bulitiens.

Any idea what it might be?

my aim used to do that...people used to complain to me all the time because my s/n would send them links out of nowhere for porn sites. I never actually figured out what it was, I just made a different s/n and it stopped...

Yeah people always send me those IMs saying check out this pic with a .exe ending. I then burn their house down, so the computer is destroyed.

use firefox and you won't get popups, not even from myspace.

spyware doctor is useless btw.

firewalls do not stop spyware.

hijackthis will remove pretty much anything, anything left over ad-aware spybot and ms defender can do the rest.

www.kaspersky.com has an online scanner that will catch anything and tell you the bad files, you then have to delete them yourself in safe mode.

yeah....I never get popups with FF....im not sure why but alot of people dont like AVG...it does the job for me as far as scanning and blocking
