ok so on my old computer I could use avi perfect like I can now on my new ocmputer but I could also use .mpg from my friends DVD camera. But now on my new computer it says unsupported rate or on premiere pro unsupported audio rate. Is there any type of premiere I can use, or another program that will let me use the DVD cameras format, mpg, then when you export it goes to avi. I dont wanna use the converter I have because it drops the quality.

cant u convert it to DV AVI in Windows Movie Maker without losing quality? If not I know some other programs.. I cant help u with the "audio" problem and shit tho, sorry.

I have had that exact problem in the past. All I did was import the file into ULead Video Studio, save it as DV or DVD compliant MPG, and put it back into Premier. Worked like a charm.
Are you using an older version of Premier? This works for me, but I use Adobe Premier Pro 2.0.
