Hi all!

Some of you might remember be from the ckf. I used to post there a bit, but after taking a lenghty break it seemed that the place had changed a great deal now that I logged in there a few weeks ago. Thankfully BenCka PM'd me and told me that folks have moved here. I see a lot of familiar member names around here.

I'm a member of the small & tight Dudesons workteam. I work as an editor/cameraman/graphical artist with the guys.

Anyway, over two years ago I wrote on the ckf how "The Dudesons" were making a DVD and were planning to get an international release. The original plan for a release date was over a year ago. But then a lot of stuff started happening, we were taken in by a "snowball effect" and things just started getting bigger and bigger, and a lot distributors were interested, both about the DVD and the TV-series we were planning.

So we just finally got or DVD out in USA, called "The Dudesons Movie", and our 8-part TV-series is running on SpikeTV. The series has also already been out in Australia and Sweden, and will run in many other countries before the end of the year.

So I just wanted to give a heads-up about this.

The DVD can be bought at least from Best Buy and BJ's, and you can order it from Amazon.

The series is running on SpikeTV on Thursdays at 10pm, and has re-runs Saturday on 12:30am and Mondays at 1am. This week episode 2 is still gonna have one re-run, and on Thursday episode 3 starts running.

You can watch a trailer in here: http://www.dudesons.com/main.site?action=s.../view&id=17

...It's all been very cool for us. We never thought that things were gonna get this big. Also thanks for all the ex-members of the ckf who were giving support back then.

If you have any questions to ask, I'll be hanging around here to answer them!

Thanks,
Tuukka

The first 2 episodes were a lot of the same stuff you see in the movie, but thankfully from Episode 3 onwards it will have a lot new stuff.

So what's next now that you've got the show and the movie released in USA? Gonna start filming again?

We're filming a bit all the time, but we really want to start EXTENSIVELY filming again at the end of the summer. Right now the guys are at USA doing a lot of promotion for the DVD and TV-show. They've been shooting some stuff in there as well, but I haven't yet seen any of it.

We'll be in Britain in less than a month just as long as we get all the plane tickets and all that shit in time so we can hook you up with a copy then. We should have the DVD done by that.. It's just a matter of quitting to slack around all the time. I just made the DVD menus yesterday though so it looks promising this time around

EDIT: Are The Dudesons going for a new season of episodes with what theyr'e filming or are you guys planning on something new?

Enjoyed the first episode alot man, and if I didn't waste my whole pay check on crack cocain I would have bought the new Dudeson's DVD right away (I still may be able to but I'm gonna have to suck alot of dick).

Welcome to HG man, hope you stick around. Also a bit of advice, post in other topics and comment on other video releases, not that you wouldn't already do this but groups that have already made it big tend to have a habbit of only starting topics and posting in topics that concern there group.

Again welcome to HGF.

A 2nd season for TV is the plan. 100% new material.

I haven't seen Dudesons yet, but I know they have done a few stunts that were my trademark stunts.. I've been betting A LOT of messages from my fans on myspace saying that Dudesons are copying my rubberband stunts nearly perfect.

I don't know if it's coinsidence or not, but until then.. I'll keep the good and bad judgments to myself. I haven't seen them yet, but at least it sounds like they're doing ok.

We never copy anyone. It's a principle. If someone has done something before, we don't do it.

However, it does happen that you shoot some stunt, and before it's out there for everyone to see (which might take from 6 to 12 months), someone else has released a similar stunt. For example in the new Jackass 2 movie trailer you can see a rake stunt, which the Dudesons did already 2 years ago, and it came out on TV then. But I don't think Jackass guys ever saw thar particular stunt from us, they just came up with it on their own. It happens. Besides, I think they made it better - I really like that shot. We should have done it like that! :)

Anyway, when did you release your rubberband stunt? Dudesons have done it on their live shows since summer 2004, and it was first shot on camera in spring 2005 with Viva La Bam in Mexico.

If I understood your myspace biography correctly, you started putting your videos online in 2005? Just about everything you see on DVD and TV-show was shot before that.

I know how much it sucks to see someone else doing the same thing as you (I was pissed to see that they had one particular bike stunt in their movie which was supposed to be ours :)) but but I'm 100% sure that these guys haven't copied you intentionally Cory. Ok, I know it's not the same as you're a 'little' more famous than Rip/Off :)... So I'm not trying to steal your thunder or anything but I'm sure these guys have probably done it all ever since they started back in the 90s so there's always a chance that they have done something that someone else has done too
