Which of my layouts is better?

I want a new layout for the MM site but..
I have 2 layouts, one I made a while ago, and one I made this morning, personally I want to create a whole new one but I want to know what kind of techniques to use.

So..
Which one of these do you like better?

As you can see im not very good at photoshop either lol Image file not present in the recovered backup

There both as good as each other really.
I like the first one because it's darker but you should change it for a bit....

Although there seems to be a shit load of text, either links or just paragraphs.... it's quite a handful to handle when you first see it.

I think they both need organising.

I like the 1st one.

Thanks guys, I think I'll stick with the idea of the first one with the dark colours n stuff but I am gonna make a new one in a bit. any tips or suggestions? (other than not so much text) lol

I like the 2nd one its better looking

the only thing I would change is the box on the side for updates or what ever is alittle small and your text is going in to the blood and its kinda hard to read
