That woman is everything that is wrong with America today.
The American tradition of stepping in and helping? Oh, I see! Like the way America gave enormous amounts of aid to the Indonesian dictator Suharto in the 50s, to carry on an internal war against the opposition, in the course of which several hundred thousand people were killed. Then in the 70s the US critically backs Indonesia's brutal campaign to subdue the people of East Timor, in which hundreds of thousands of people are killed!
Golly gosh, and what about the 80s, when Regan 'stepped in and helped out' dictator states throughout Central America, in El Salvador, Honduras, Costa Rica and Nicaragu! That was a great help, I bet the South Americans are really counting their lucky stars that their mates the Americans were there to create counter-revolutionary troopers to stop any hope of them escaping brutal regimes! I bet Panama was too, when the USA declared war in the late 80s and thousands died!
And what about all that help the USA gave to Afghanistan in the late 70s, in what a member of the Carter administration called a deliberate attempt to 'induce a Soviet military intervention'? Yep, Russia intervened as America knew they would, warring with the Afghans for about 10 years, devastating the country and allowing the Taliban to take control!
And, gee wilikers, I've talking about all that without even mentioning how America has 'helped' the Iraqi people in two wars!
This 'American Way' of helping people seems short-sighted at best. If people wanna believe that, then they have to forget their own history.
This almost fundamentalist patriotism that the American Government tries to instill in its citizens is sickening. Swearing alliegance to the flag as young as 6, a global arrogance that seems to make the government believe that they have the right to intervene in global disputes and then reap the rewards of arms contracts when wars do in fact start.
Superman is a fucking cartoon that got made into a few films and an abysmal TV series. It is not a marker of Americanism. That woman needs to get her fucking head out her arse.

I didn't know if finland was in the Netherlands dude damn, I havn't taken Geography yet. I'm not even good with were all our states our man.
But yeah I'm not patriotic at all. Those directors were just trying to make a statement because of the immagration shit were going through, it's so retarded.
If the American way was at it's peak in the 50's (which is what the directors think), when women couldn't vote and blacks were getting hosed down for protesting for equal rights then I'm not fucking American.
