If they honestly were that dumb and didn't know that there were people living in those houses, a jail sentence sounds way too much for them, not even to mention 5 years in jail. If this was their first felony, I think that the only right thing to do would be just to make them pay for the damages, and give them some community service. But I really gotta say that my sympathy goes to the people who's homes were destroyed for no other reason than vandalism in this one. If something like that happened to my house, I would like to kill the ones responsible.
I bet, or at least hope, your friends feel really sorry for what they did. Going to jail for something you knew was wrong is one thing, but just fooling around and not knowing that what you're doing is wrong and then be taken to jail must feel twice as bad.

I think it sucks alot that they have a chance to go to jail. They dont deserve something like that.
It was also a dumb move to fuck up someone's home. I guess I understand that you didn't know that anyone lived there though. That's where parents will rub the ole "Think Before You Do" thing in your face.

I think people who do this shit need to get some sence and respect for people.
I have my own house and paid for everything in there and worked for it all. If some prick came in and messed it all up ill kill them for real. theres no need for itand for just a bit of fun you can wreck a persons life. Some people cant get there stuff back when its gone cos you cant but some of it again.
I hope you do get done for it.

ahh lighten up. we all make mistakes. do things we regret. it's all apart of life. it's just a little criminal mischief gone wrong here. I can understand why you'd be pissed. but eh it wasn't your house. the same as we're here and the tsunami's are over there.
