changed the top one as its the 2nd one I was confused about

snap on is wider but no zoom through

the other is zoom through, but not as wide...

im [edit: not]an expert on lenses but I thought it was wierd the second one has a yellow filter.

well I got a sony handycam DCR-TRV11E and had a thread open about it stating the fact that no one can find out the lens size needed.

Came to the conclusion its proberly a 37mm

so thats what im after.. I can always get a step up ring if needed.

Don't get the first one. I have it and it sucks. It's a shitty clip on as the other one is a screw on.

You all gotta be careful with the first one and you can tell it's cheap when you feel it and lift it up.

second one.. how curved do u think it will be cos I want quite a stong one but not insane lol problem with ebay cant test firsts.

I own the first lens and I haven't had any problems with it. I even reverse the lense for an even crazyier video effect : )

Take the top lense.

go with the first one, I have both and the snap on is eazier to use, no zoom but clips on and off, other with zoom but the colours go dull and blur while zooming.

Was thw whole thing filmed with the lens? if so it didnt "bend" the image as much as I was expecting is that just as its on a small screen?

It wasn't ALL in fisheye, only about 70% of the video. The rest of the video was shot with a wide angle lens which is all I use unless I need the fish.

To be honest with you, I only used the fisheye when I needed to get really close.. that's the best thing to use. I have a few other videos shot in fisheye, but that's already a good enough example.. that's the best there is for the camera you have. Otherwise you'd need to get a different camera with more lens options.

hence, buy the snap on, not only is it compact and thin, it "gets the god damn job done" for sure

I looked under lens's and it didnt say Sony.

u gave me a link to a site. I went to the site. I Searched for Lens.. It gives u options of differenet camcorder makes. Sony wasnt one of them.

a lens has nothing to do with what brand of camera you have man. the only thing you need to know about your cam to be able to match up and purchase a proper lens is the thread size, which you can't find out...so I don't what to tell you really.

how are you going to know what step up to get? I recommend joining http://camcorderinfo.com and post a topic about the thread size for your camera. be exact, they will get you an answer.
