How Can I Make A Wrestling Ring?

My friends and I were talking about doing a Backyard wrestling event and we want it to be really good. We wanna get like alot of weapons and they wanna use a trampoline. Now, there is nothing wrong with this but I thought it'd be REALLY cool if we made a "homemade" wrestling ring. Even if we have to work, or spend money on making it, It would be so worth it.

I want it to be sturdy and everything and I want it above the ground so please don't say put 1 mattress. I wanna beable to run on it and not sink into it cause of the matress. Anyone have ANY idea what I can do or have a site that shows how to build one?

I know there are a few people on here who backyard wrestle, that's why I decided to post here.

I looked into this exact thing awhile back but most sites that had BWY ring plans have been abandoned.

Alright, here we go....


Here is our setup....

1-2 rows of tires, making a 10x10 ring
1 layer of chalkboards, or any large bendable board
1 layer of carpet padding
1 layer of carpert or tarp
cement large posts in the ground and attach eye bolts to each corner to string the rope through.
For the rope use normal nylon rope or garden hoses

I know FAT JAM used to do byw, he used to have a ring with ropes and like padding I guess, don't think it was lifted.

Our ring was just mattresses with wood and carpet on top worked like a charm and it was easy to bump on

that highspots.com had rental rings for $300 if you didn't already see it.... but they ship for 50cents a mile. Sounds pretty good to me...

You can either buy a car or rent this ring, or buy a ring.

Hey, I was cruising google and found this, anyway...I have several ring plans if you would like, some cheap ones, one really nice one for about $450-$500 and a super pro, WWE style ring...and even some portable choices that are REAL cheap, lol, anyway, if you would like 'em, just shoot me an email at [email address redacted]

Also, if you don't need ropes, just throw down some boxsprings, some mattresses, some plywood, and a layer or two of carpet padding, and a tarp...it can be pretty cheap, you can get almost all of it for under $40 or probably even less...

You can get the boxsprings and mattresses from a Goodwill or thrift store or something for REAL cheap, plywood can be gotten from construction sites or behind warehouse stores, that's free.

Carpet padding, most places throw it out, and the tarp...maybe a junk yard, if you can live with old, and used...for new, they can run from $20 or more...

So you're mostly paying for the tarp, hope I helped some,
