Got it today, and it doesnt include battery (which I guess is kinda expected at that price)
And I cant get it to switch to widescreen. Ive taken it apart and fiddled about, I can change the screen focus, picture and left and right control, but not the widescreen bars, so im still trying to fix that.

So if your not the camera man you can see the framing and whats being filmed. From the comofrt of a chair, or standing up or wherever the monitor is.

You sure something as old as that has 16:9 functionalities?
The monitors at work simply have a button on the front that let's you change between 4:3 and 16:9. Or are you talking about the cage?

Yeh it should be 4:3/16:9 switchable.
Spoke to a mechanic and it should be possible to do internally. As it doesnt appear to have a switch on the back.

My other monitor just has a switch at the back, but then again its not a feild monitor, its for grading (probably like the ones at your work)
EDIT: Your are kinda right though, the newer model of this (same name) is switchable. But you can manually make them widescreen by playing about with the underscan settings internally.
