I have always hated Canon because they don't seem to take the time to lay things out so it's easy to use. The xl2 just covered in buttons which is confusing as piss. (Not to mention the fact I am unable to find nightshot on it because it's just that confusing.)
The xl2 is awesome for quality though as can be expected from a 3CCD, but if it were a competition the VX would definately win as a 3CCD camera.
The HC7 uses a CMOS sensor instead of CCD which is better in terms of battery life, not to mention the colour on the HC7 is stunning and beats the piss out of the others, the low light is better on the VX, then HC7 and then xl2 in my opinion.
HD wins for me just because its up to date and it does everything I would need a camera for, not to mention just how good the quality is for the price.
Cool, Im probably sticking on my decision then. Might get one of those sexy cameras when the price comes down.

I got to use a gl2 the other day and I accually did not like them very much, the LCD is way to small but If u could get a decent price on one then theyed be ok.
I dont think he ahs xl2, it was my bad. Its just that canon gl2 is gl2 in europe, but in usa its xm. Gets kind of confusing
