I got flashed by a speed camera facing me, with the lines behind it, last week so am still waiting to see if I get anything

You won't get anything if it was facing you, would have been for someone the other side of the road, they won't flash you if your going towards them at all.

Yeah was on the M5 Northbound, they clocked an average speed of about 92 miles but I had been going faster wasn't much I could say though really eh haha. Bit gutted but at least I've got the cash to pay for it and not be completely ruined cause I've got a job...

yeah there doing massive construction work for the next few yrs there (tunnel work) and the road going the other way is lead of somewhere else, not where the camera is.. all seems a bit strange I no..

im not to worried, although looking some stuff up, there are some cameras now that face u, but either way, hopefully it wont be anything

They were behind me and they said what they do is they time the time it takes for you to go from one interpass to another and then work out your average speed from that using the distance between them.

Yeah for insurance purposes they cant take pictures from the front in the UK. Like Sam said it will have been taking a picture of someone else.

Bad jokes aside, here they take a crystal clear photo of the car and the driver which they then show you so that there's no chance for anyone to talk themselves out of the situation, unless you still want to argue with them telling that you have an evil twin brother or something.
