I took advantage of a major electronics retailer going bankrupt by buying it. this was the only HD miniDV camera that they carried even before they announced they were filing for bankruptcy.

so I got a camera that goes for $950 retail value, I got for $580 taxes and all. im not complaining.

yeah I read that, I was just saying since I own both the cameras that was compared, HC9 isnt far from the HC7 you mentiond. still it is a camera you can fall inlove with after you film some outside shots, inside looks worse than most SD cameras for some lame reason.

theres the test footy that I shot yesterday. there are a few tape glitches that are in the shot with my dog. learning more about the camera so hopefully its fixable through capture or camera settings.

that was a good shot at 0.31 post a full rez screen cap of it.
you'll notice you cant film fast moving objects without a blured delay on the footage, if you figure away to fix this let me know, ie skateboarding/bmxing ect

it wasnt the blur I was necessarily concerned about, but there were a few pixelated glitches where it looked like it skipped a few frames.

I thought that was done in editing. Yeah def. looked like skipped frames. What tape did you use?

The shots of the highway didnt "flow" it had kind of stop motion look on some parts. Did anybody else feel the same way? Is it because of the 24p?
