I Just Bought...

I promise you I wouldn't drive if I didn't have to for my job. Public transit just won't work for what I have to do.

And, as Chris said, you guys don't have to drive nearly as far as we do. If you don't live within a major city, you're stuck driving everywhere. And our trips aren't all just on country roads or highways where you can get up to 60 mph. Most of my trips are through towns and suburbia with plenty of stoplights at intersections and anywhere there are major businesses to make you have to stop and consider buying their products.

It's pretty lame, a 5 mile trip into work can take upwards 25 minutes at the wrong time of day, and eat a full gallon of gas. That's $3.75 just to get into work. I only make 8.50 an hour, it's like I'm working for 60% of my first hour just to get there, and 60% of my last hour just to get home.
