According to Mike from Nintendo’s Marketing Department, the Wii name is apparently a “bad thing for the company’s reputation”. This is what he supposedly said:
We have received over 200,000 e-mails with complaints about the Wii, and the console name has been commonly associated with urine. We have been the target of many jokes, and we strongly believe that it’s a bad thing for the company’s reputation

Could someone could show me proof of nintendo changing the name from wii to something else. Because all this says is that changing the name was a bad move.....

That doesn't sound legit to me whatsoever. I havent heard anywhere else that they are considering changing the name except for that shitty blog post.

Yeah I'm a big PC gamer as well. Although I play this online game called Graal alot. I saw the new Fast and the Furious though (even though it kinda sucked) after watching it the cars got me playing NFS Underground 2 again.

I had a gamecube once and only got it for RE4, then was pissed to find out they were releasing it for PS2 a month later, so I sold my gamecube. then I was pissed to find out they were releasing a new zelda in november. nintendo is soaking me dry.
