I saw my first one this weekend and I absolutely agree with kane.

meh that was tiny compared to the LTJ circle pit a bit back at leeds festival, which was pretty much half the whole arena. was also a massive bottle fight at the same time, I wish I could have filmed it. was a couple of years back now. still got the scars though

this makes me hope society fails even more.

I mean.. what's the point of moshing and all that BS? is that their actual reaction when they're listen to that type of music? put a cd in while driving down the road, it's so hardcore that you need to be kicking and flailing about in the car while on the interstate. I highly doubt that's what happens.

I dunno man...at those sorts of gigs, everyone pressed in around you, drowning you with their sweat, and suddenly a fast, aggressive song comes on and awakens the primeval beast within...

hahaha I guess so. when I went to warped tour, I was in the middle getting trampled. I just wanted to see my favorite bands play, not get a concussion.

also sometimes its nice to feel the breeze in your hair, usually there is a million and one people crammed into such a small space, when something like this happens it opens up a bit and you can breath; breath but get the shit kciked outta you. so its a comprimise. I took the breathing and bloodied legs.

Nah I hear you, sometimes it's fucking annoying. Like you could be standing there, moving to the beat of some song when this wild-eyed maniac launches himself at you trying to get a response.

I use to go to shows alot, just to mosh. for me it was never about the music.
moshings fun, u go in the pit, u get pushed around, throw a few punches, take a few, its kinda like being in a fight that goes with the music and flashy lights n shit, but if u get hurt or tired u can walk off and come back.

the funniest thing I remember from moshing was my friend covered in blood from a broken nose, running from emt's trying to get him in an ambulance. haha, good times.

moshing is why I avoid shows. not the fact I'm a vagina, but the fact it ruins everything for me. I could be having a good time and someone punches me in the face. not my idea of a great time.

at warped tour I went crowd surfing, and someone punched me in the nose. ruined the rest of the day for me.

Moshing is fine if you ask me, nothing against it, I guess it's like Adem is saying.

I hate when people "bring the mosh" (is that the words you kids use these days?) when you're trying to enjoy the music and they think it'll be a good idea to flail their arms like a demented windmill when there's like ten-plus people within punching range.

If you go into a pit then yeah, you're asking for it but you shouldn't have to worry about the threat of mosh if you're just an innocent bystander.

I get what you're all saying. The whole HxC dancing is fucking gay. But thats been said before. The push pits, can be gay if you're not into it, and that's pretty much what's been said before. But seriously, once you find yourself in a circle pit, it's an ultimate adrenaline rush. Imagine running. Lame. Now imagine running with hundreds of people. Still pretty lame. Now imagine running with hundreds of people, in a circle, where if you fell over, you could die.

Adrenaline rush.

whew, and I get an adrenaline rush just by making it to the toliet in time to not piss my pants.

When I go to shows I love going into the mosh pits and crowdsurfing... haha most girls don't but usually me and my friends just hop in. Havn't gotten to hurt, and its just a couple of punches.. maybe kicks. That may be because I amused to it.

But also if you don't want to go in you shouldn't have to.

girls get protected in mosh pits, so of course you never get hurt, if you were ugly and had no boobs, you'd probably be mistaken for a dude and punched.

First \'real\' mosh pit I ever went in was at Give It A Name 05. I took a few steps in and got punched around the jaw. Obviously, a good time.

I never went or will go moshing at any shows, I find it stupid and people look like apes doing it.
