Should we release our movie?

Hello there guys

Well here is the deal

AssTreMe is pretty much dead as a group and we have alot of fottage from the past 2 years

It got me thinking that we wont make money out of the dvd anyways and less people will see it that way so maybe what we need is to release it for the public view for free?

A few of us are still around and were actually still filming but for a comic tv show over here...in each episode we will have 1 minute section...atleast 36 episodes will be made and we wont be with the same name cause we will film with a new crew

Now what do you think...should we still release a dvd or just release the movie for everyones free plesure?

Have it online for free, but if people wan't the DVD (cos of the cover art and stuff) just let them pay the postage, cost of discs etc.

You could put the main production on the web and save all the bonus shit for the dvd disc.

I've been actually having this same dilema, we've got many hours of footage just sitting around that I intended to make into a dvd, but I've only actually edited about twenty minutes of it, and that was around two years ago, now looking back on those sections they don't seem very good to me anymore as far as editing and some of the content goes, so if we do in fact ever make a dvd it will be from scratch. I've also considered releasing a few long mixups of our best footage in the vip section.

I said do them both, cause once I have my paypal situated, I'm going around and buying as many DVDs of my fav groups as I can.

maybe I can release a movie promo of like 10-15 minutes online for a week and after that sell the 50 minutes dvd?

If you could spam the 10-15minute promo around everywhere you could get some decent sales from that.
Do that, either way I'll buy/download it, doesn't bother me.

Theres definatly gonna be people that will buy it, (prolly me included) so u might as well make a DVD of it to make some money and then when people haven't bought it in like aages put it for free download a few months later or something.

You can put the movie in the VIP or anywhere you want, and have a few copys in dvd ready for friends in israel and people interested in HGF. See if the sales are good.. if they are good, shut down the link and start selling your dvd.
