what is the best thing to use for p2p?
I used kazaa and limewire, both suck.

I don't see the point in Bearshare they all share with Limewire and stuff so..... the programme barely matters??

I hate the fact limewire is in javascript, but it's the best.
there's also a program called piolet, that I have heard is fantastic for downloading music, but I could never get it to connect.

I used to have piolet awsome program all of a sudden it wouldnt connect for me either so I changed to limewire

Quite a few applications these days are written in JS. You know Firefox is completely javascript, and you can validate the entire source code base with the W3C validator.
Javascript applications tend to be slow however and most memory inefficient.

It depends, Firefox does lag at startup for me (terrible loadup times) and it's documented as being a big memory hog.

watch how you use peer guardian tho, don't fuck with the settings, it caused my internet to go verrrry slow when I used it.

Also I use "Ares" for single things like songs and music videos, I also use another forum for downloading single apps dunno if im allowed to mention the name but its to do with the topic and I never post there anyway, www.appzpla.net

any p2p programs end up in some spyware and junk being attached to your music or w/e your downloading. but I got limewire PRO from epirate.net and I just scan my computer for spyware and viruses a few times each week and its been working fine for me

I use Soulseek its the best if you have people on your list that let you search through thier files and let you download things, I usually use it when I download full albums. I have like 10 GB worth of music just from Soulseek...

this is what made me stop using it, I just reformatted my computer because I got something (virus wise) it disabled the opening of any folders (other then the start menu) and any apps just would not open.
