I get IM's almost daily. Requesting stuff. Even for me it takes a full day, maybe two if I get distracted by my actual life, to make and code a website. Sometimes PM's, from school work, to sigs, back to websites.

Its like Adem in the request a sig thread. Pages of people nagging Adem for a sig, and then bitch when he hasnt made them one. Tkaes more time than you think.

I use to do shit for free when I first came here, I did many websites for free, and a few people paid even without my request to do so. like muppets, and sam evans. it got to the point that everyone talked to me only if they wanted a website or something of the like, and then I started asking for money like it was a crime to get paid for my time, got labeled as a "sell-out" by many. everything can't stay free in this world.

I agree with what matt said tho, if I really respect the person, I'll make them something for free unless they offer to pay. sometimes I see a site and if it's realllly pathetic, and the person has no hope/potential to make their own, I'll step up and help them for nothing. that's rare tho.

a sig takes me 5 minutes tops, varies by idea. in which those are hardly ever made by scratch, who would make one from complete scratch everytime? I usually find a cool picture and edit it to be cool. it's such a high demand tho, and evetually you get tired of making that shit all the time, and start ignoring requests and maybe pick them up again down the road when you're bored, I do.

Heh yeah. LSD Riders site sucked so much yet they were an awesome group so I made Dave a site without even asking him. Got a free DVD though in the end ;)

Mono, Made, and Tomm are all really good at PS obviously, but your stuff all looks the same. Not just in comparison to eachother either, like every piece of work you do...it all looks identical.

Adem is the only one who seems to have more of a distinguished style.

Anyway, I always end up doing shit myself and ironically, people say they prefer it over the alternatives people made for me.

If you want it done right, do it yourself.

nothing is better than making it for yourself. you feel more pleased and you don't need to make changes constantly if someone else makes it the way THEY want it to be.

haha yeah Im one of the main "favor askers" on here. I try not to bug the people too much because I know it is a favor and theyre taking time outta there day to do shit for me. (mainly Adem, Mono, and ocassionally made.)

nope, you know what a good idea is? do an exchange at the same time. if you're paying and he's promised to do your work, wait until he's completely done, and then give money and then give the work over. it solves any confusion or annoying delays

I did that with sam evans cause I was sure he'd fuck me over cause he is a little bitch. and it worked out perfectly.

after working with sean, I stopped making promises, anytime someone asks me to do something, I say shit like "don't expect me to do it in the next few weeks." or "are you sure you wanna trust me with that". cause somedays I wake up and want to do stuff for people, and the next day I'm like, fuck you all. and it'll last for a week to a month.
