You can make a real ghetto version just by using a bottle,a tube and some tape.
But I dont really recomend it,its better to make a real one,it shoots alot better and is alot safer.
But if you wanna make a ghetto one get a 1,5 litre bottle,one with thick plastic and a small pvc tube,then cut the top of the bottle and tabe the tube on so it fits perfectly.

After that you burn a hole in it,then you spray some hairspray in it and put the potatoe in.
Then squeeze the bottle and take the lighter to the hole,then you slowly let go of the squeeze and let the flame go in the bottle.
You usually have to try a few times before it goes off.
I dont really recomend this metod because sometimes the flames burst up trough the hole and barbecues your thumb instead of launching the spud,and its not that unthinkable that it just might blow up in your face.
A guy I know used to take make theese kind of spud guns at parties untill it blew up in his face

Its better to search on the net for a recipie and go to a plumber and buy some parts for it.
