Originally Life of Boredom was just me and Vince. We used to film lame 'comic strips' when we first got a small shitty camera which Vince got free with a mobile phone he bought. It was low quality. The comic strips were basically burning things and blowing things up, nothing extreme at all, just lame simple things.
We made like 3 volumes using this bad camera, then Vince bought a Nikon CoolPix 3200 and we used that to make higher quality bad 'comic strips' and then small videos. The short videos were alright and quite funny but they had no sound and could only be 15 seconds. Eventually Vince then bought a bad camera from GadgetShop or some shit for like 80 pounds (I am aware, I bought no cameras... but I did co-found the group so my position was never questioned.) Vince had made a Zelda website previously and naturally saw himself as worlds greatest web-designer. ?<---There is a link to the Life of Boredom website.
The website was his way, and I was never allowed to touch his cameras. But I didn't care either way as he never did anything on camera anyway that I would need to film. So, with his GadgetShop camera, and l33t website making skillz, we were set to start working on a DVD. lol.
We filmed stupid things that we had seen on Jackass, like 'Antiquing' and just setting things on fire. It was all fun at the time but having not discovered the Homegrown Scene we were not aware that we were basically shitter than Scum Videos at the time. Anyway. One day Vince showed me a website for TH2, and it had just ended, so we vowed to be in the next one when it came about. Vince was taken in by Hoons, but again they had just ended at around the same time. (By the way we are like 15 years old at this point.)
Within school Vince has adopted this 'We're better than you' attitude and saw himself as the centre of our friendship group, I have to admit, I got drawn into it. To go along with this, the website depicted such things on its 'extras section' that was demoralising to our friends, like pictures of them looking lame, and just generally embarassing the people shown on it. It was not long before people around school hated Life of Boredom, but we were never told. It was kept quiet among everyone as I suppose some people did consider Vince to be a 'higher up' in the friendship group and never really wanted to bring it up. I never really saw myself in the same way he did, I didn't assume a role of percieved 'power'.
That being said, we were informed by Sam (chorus) that TH3 had begun. This was odd as Sam had seemingly found it on his own. (Me and Sam were really close in year 7 and 8, but we fell out until this time.) Vince and me entered as Life of Boredom at around task 32. Often, there were tasks that we felt we were unable to do so we called in help. From my brother Eddie, Zack, Jack, Ian and any other people we could find wanting to give us a hand. After a while, we had found HGF linked off TH3 and joined up in July, I then became very knowledgable about the Homegrown Scene itself and saw what other groups were releasing which gave me an idea of the standards that people had for what could be considered a decent video release.
Eventually we won TH3 after some bickering with THC, which died down. And I suppose that was what got us recognised as a group. So being under the watchful eye of HGF, we set aside time to begin filming for a release which was up to the apparent standards of the members of HGF. However, I had noticed more and more that people in our peer group were idealistic about the group, and how we should change things and edit thesite and everything we are about. Ofcoarse it was never listened to as Hitler... I mean... umm... Vince would not edit something which was his 'brain-child' to suit the needs of people who he saw as 'below him'. So they came to me.
We spoke about how the site was just a big grotesque ego-trip for Vince and was also intended for myself. It was not what HG was about and didn't show us in a good light. I was becoming increasingly fed up with the way it was being run aswell because due to the stigma attatched to the name "Life of Boredom" people didn't want to be associated with it, I.e. Eddie and Ian. TH3 put certain people in the group (unofficially bear in mind, heaven forbid the website and order of the universe be changed by adding new members) these members of the group had worked together so well and I was under the impression that given the opportunity, we could make a pretty decent team out of the members.
It had basically been set. We kept this from Vince all the while to avoid conflict. But we began to come up with a name for the group in October (bear in mind TH3 ended in August) of 2005. We wanted something that wasn't trying to be all hXc, but maintain the simplicity of the new era that we felt was dawning. We considered the name of the group to be obsolete, it was not important to us to try and stand out to others with a flashy name, so GOMP was appropriate as it conveyed a simple concept.
With the name and members firmly aware of what the situation, it became harder and harder to keep things from Vince, despite him still approaching with ideas of content for the LoB DVD. Eventually we pitched the idea of a 'Side project' that we wanted to work on. But I feel he was aware what we wanted to do. And he wanted no part of it as he had spend 200 pounds on stickers and just purchased a DCR-HC19E. [We later found out he "never got the camera for LoB", but just so he could film... stuff...].
The members of Glass-of-Milk Productions are...
Myself [17 years old]. I film. I do some stuff for the camera but not as much as others. I help fund the group. Come up with ideas. Co-ordinate (this is basically done by most of the members.)

My brother; Eddie [18 years old]. He does stunts. He specialises in jumps, flips, falls?. He brings some of the hXc into our group. Being in my house all the time we talk alot about stunts and what we can do to better the group.

Ian [17 years old]. He films. He is our own little DanG. He brings more hXc to the group with his high tolerance for pain. He is very involved with the HG scene having purchased Webbys HG DVD collection and just a general knowledge of most groups and their videos.

Sam [17 years old]. Sam brings many of the ideas, and alot of the humour to the group. He knows what is a good video and he knows how to make them himself. Good skater. Knows his shit. <3

Becki [17 years old]. Becki is the female of the team, but can take pain when is required to. She is so cool and adds sex appeal (alongside Sam).
