Just want to know if there's really a 'difference' between the cheaper PCI capture cards/firewire cables compared to the more expensive ones?

If you have a good 3ccd or HD camera couldn't you just use the cheap capture card cause isn't it the cam really the thing making the difference in quality?

Also if you have a good 3ccd or HD camera, do you really need a editing program like Adobe, couldn't you just use WMM2, adobe more for fx etc. right...?

that sounds logical to me.. wmm doesnt have many features at all.. id want to use a program with good features if I was worried about quality. .. and firewire cables arent too expensive... esp if you have the money to own a 3ccd or hd type camera

I'm pretty sure there isn't a difference between firewire CABLES, all the same quality I believe.
No idea about cards though....

If there is a difference in capture cards then yeah... that shouldn't matter.

Like Skipper said.... you need an actual editing programme which can capture and edit HD quality in the first place, and I'm guessing there are different cards for HD Cams too....

Sorry I coudln't help much.......
