If you've already bought it, isn't it too late to be asking if they are any good?

I have a Gateway and I love it. It's a sexy motherfucker

03 June 2006, 23:27 UTC#4
Custom built computers, nothing better

04 June 2006, 03:09 UTC#5
fuck gateway...im sorry, but try and find parts to add on to it
04 June 2006, 03:36 UTC#6
Build your own shit, that's the way to go.

Older gateways no.
Now, not sure.
04 June 2006, 04:02 UTC#8
Ive only had Dell and Compaq, so I dunno.
04 June 2006, 04:04 UTC#9
I had a gateway one year, it did nothing but give me problems. I think it was just a shitty model.

Those specs you got are pretty nice, so of course it's a pretty good PC no matter whom put it together.
As for custom PC's, most Dell computers nowadays are much cheaper than building your own. In fact, I think Dell don't even make a profit on the actual barebone computer they sell...it's the addons people purchase that make 'em money.

Alienware are exceptionally well made, very aesthetically pleasing PC's. Yes, Alienware are pretty much the opitame of quality.
However you do pay a good premium for that quality.
