Usually a pessimist, I think it's better to think of things in the worst case scenario, that way if it does all go bad, its not a shock. And if it doesn't all go bad then things seem better and it brightens up your day.

Where as if you're an optimist, everything seems worse if it doesn't go as expected.

Pessimist. Looking at the negative aspect of things means I'm rarely disappointed when things don't go to plan.

Very true.

However living in the same house as a realist (Mom) is bad enough, I could NOT imagine sharing a place with a pessimist, hahahaha.

Yeah a constant pessimist would definitely be a pain in the ass to live with!
Meaning someone who always sees only the negative in everything and would always bring that up. Silent pessimists I'm okay with :P

A little bit of all of them.... it changes from time to time, but I end up sounding optimistic and saying something pessimistic. odd.

I try to be optimistic, but with the friends I have, it's hard as hell.

I take things as they are, so I guess that makes me a realist.

I don't like to think about the future in general, good or bad...I hate to think of things changing and don't really know what I want out of the future yet anyway. I'd much rather focus on what I have right now.

Im an optimist, I belive the way you enter a situation is how you will exit it, if you go in thinking you will succeed, then you never set yourself up for failure.

However Im always prepared for the worst if it were to occur.

Realist.

But when people (for example about my exams) say: Oh man you're easily gonna make it.. then I'm a pessimist. See Mono's description for that ;)

Optimists - people who are inexperienced in life and are highly egocentric. They think that everything will end up how they want, proving they don't have a developed mental strucutre and haven't made many discoveries in life. Positivists get hurt easiest and die from stress.

Realist- Define reality on a global perspective

Pessimist-One who has failed too many times in life and is addicted to the feeling of losing. Losing is a routine, and people adapt to routines, cross-referencing to people adapting to the feeling of loss. Pessimists have no idea.

If you categorise yourself you are just run by the man.

I'm a mixture, sometimes I can be very pessimistic, and at times I'm very optimistic, I'm not sure if I'd be much of a realist tho. so I put other.
