I've just come across this freeware and I've been playing it nonstop for a couple hours.

The premise is you play as a little ship up against an endless stream of bosses. The catch is that depending on how you beat a boss dictates how the next one will be built and how it will fight you. So if you take out a boss' front armour first, the next one in line with have additional protection in that area. If you strip him of his guns, you'll be up against more guns and they'll be harder to shoot at. To help you, your ship is equipped with a crazy machine gun-type weapon that can be adjusted to fire in different directions and with different spreads.

The game is addictive, pretty ingenious, and challenging too. There's an options screen for configuring the few controls and choosing different gameplay modes. Take some time to get into the game, like I said, it's pretty innovative but it's great once you're up against some of the fucking huge later bosses.

Enjoy.

this does nothing but reboot my computer, if I wanted that I'd just go to shut down and click restart.

Should be listed in the options menu.

You can roate the gun to fire in different directions...can't remember the default button for it though. Check the options menu for the controls.
