I just got back in town on Tuesday and I've been handling some business since then so I haven't been able to come on here and post. I was up in Utah living with 4 UFC fighters and also shooting footage of Billy Rush and Jeremy Horn. The footage and the documentary is amazing and yesterday I started talking to independent theater chains about releasing this documentary on an independent level. The footage I shot is amazing and a trailer for the movie might be online as early as tonight but I don't know yet. I'm going to be shooting footage for the next few days for this documentary so I won't be around much but it is pretty much the "Beyond The Mat" for the MMA industry. It's an amazing piece and editing has already started.
Now so far I've recieved footage from only about 4 or 5 groups for the new Homegrown Collection DVD. I really need to get this footage gather together in the next 2-3 weeks. So with school and college ending I hope that everybody that wants to be involved is able to free up some time on the side to organize their footage and send it out to me. The Homegrown Collection DVD series can be something huge but it's going to take having a lot of groups involved.
If the MMA documentary works out and is successful in theatres independently I'll be releasing my other documentaries in theatres on an independent level as well and I would experiment doing the same with The Homegrown Collection, so everybody should keep their fingers crossed that this works.
Now who can I count on sending me out footage still? Who wants to be involved in The Homegrown Collection DVD series? And also have their footage used in the Homegrown TV show I'm pitching in July?
