It's quite obvious what an amplifier does. It simply amplifies the source sound (CD player, sterero..etc) then the amplifier puts the amplified sound into the speakers.
Sound route:
Radio > Amplifier > Speakers
Simple

so wuts better to have? a decent amp and awesome speakers? or awesome amp n decent speakers
25 May 2006, 00:05 UTC#18
To be honest, the only thing an amp will do is add more bass and make your stereo louder. Some amps do refine the sound, however if your speakers arn't up to scratch it won't make any difference for you. I'd say, it's better to have good speakers and a good stereo. An amp isn't *that* important in determining sound quality.

iight thanks g good to no
*note to self, buy decent stereo n speakers

Car's good. Not really my pick, but it looks good. And the ballbag just gives it a finishing touch.
25 May 2006, 11:34 UTC#21
Heh I'd love to have a car like that.
I swore you were like 14 years old though :|
25 May 2006, 12:43 UTC#22
amps powers your system...the cd player alone doesn't have enough juice to do the whole lot. you have to find the right amp for your system to get the best sound.
25 May 2006, 12:56 UTC#23
It doesnt matter how good speakers you have if your amp isnt big enough to pull them.
I would say,go to a stereo shop and buy a package deal
I bought a 1200 watt amp and 2 12inch subs.
25 May 2006, 13:13 UTC#24
massive speakers...no amp...blow your speakers...fuse out the stereo
and that thing def needs to be lowered...and maybe some bigger wheels
throw on some chromies too

Easy as HELL.
I passed with a hundred on the sign test, and a 90 on the road questions. I've got my permit, and I'm on my last drive-time (You gotta have 7 for your liscience), then I get the real thing.
