holy fuckin shit... P2!!

I helped out on a music vid this weekend. We were using a panasonic AG-HVX200 with a P2 card. Holy fuckin shit!! You film directly to the P2 card in uncompressed HD format. The footage came out unbelievable. P2 is defintly the future... it's really expenive right now though. The camera runs for $6000 and the cheapest P2 card is like $500. I would imagine the prices will fall once sony or JVC comes out with something to compete.

that shit is ridiculous. I'm seriously considering a loan, but I'm gonna wait it out cause the camera just came out and I'm sure it will fall in price over the next year or so. I have acess to a couple sony pd 170's for now. P2 is gonna kill shit

I would imagine that too. That camera is still so fresh from the oven and they will have partial monopoly until other brands release similar cameras which will force them to drop the prices just as you said
