Skip...you usually find shrooms in cap and stem form, or in chocolates over here. usually an 1/8th will do me in for a night and thats 4 grams in good ol' tennessee. if I were you id go cap and stems. yes, they taste like shit at first, but I think they kinda taste like chocolate after a while. I tripped for my first time about 5 months ago, and ive did 4 times since...lol. after 2 times your considered legally insane! hahaha.
as far as green I pay :
$20 - blunt of highs (1.6 grams)
$50 - 1/8 of highs (3.5 g)
$70 - 1/8 of dro (purple haze, orange crush, maui wowie)
$100 - 1/4 of highs (7 g)
then you have your mids but im to lazy to go into that...hope I helped you out skip

You can get decent bud around here for $5 a gram, $35 for a quarter. Shrooms are usually about $35 for a quarter (dried) if you can find someone with them around here. It's very unlikely that you'll find anyone selling fresh mushrooms, seeing as they will go bad in 2-3 days if they're not dried. If you're serious about tripping with four or five people you should just look on google for mushrooms that grow in your area that contain Psilocybin and go hunting in some cowfields and whatnot. They're better when fresh anyway, you lose a lot of Psilocybin in the drying process.
EDIT: Justin was right, need to add more to this.
Before going out and hunting for mushrooms, make sure you read up on poisonous mushrooms in your area as well, seeing as many "magic" mushrooms are just little brown mushrooms that can appear identical to many species of poisonous mushrooms to the untrained eye. I would avoid picking LBMs if at all possible. If you can find any psychoactive species that is relatively easy to identify, and that doesn't have many look-a-likes so they'll be easier to identify, go with those. There are species of deadly poisonous mushrooms, most of them in the amanita family, that will destroy your liver, and you'll show no symptoms of the poisoning until days later when it will be too late. Luckily, not many magic mushrooms look very similar to these, so they shouldn't be that hard to avoid, just make yourself familiar with poisonous mushrooms in your area like I said earlier, and identify ALL of the mushrooms you find before anyone consumes ANY of them. This can be done in a number of ways, the least reliable being to compare them to pictures and descriptions on the net (may not be accurate, I don't reccomend it). Buying a mushroom field guide with color images and good descriptions (good choice). Or, finding someone that picks mushrooms in your area and asking them to come along with you, which may be unlikely seeing as they probably wouldn't want others picking all the mushrooms in local spots where they regularly pick from.
