Anyone watched it? What's it like if so?

Read some pretty mixed reviews on it, contemplating whether I wanna watch it or not.

I liked it, it wasnt amazing or anything, and if you have any intellegence you should be able to follow just fine.

It was worth my 9.50, I dont plan on seeing it again or buying the dvd though.

Im sure the book is much better, but I was entertained by it .

I havn't seen it yet, but I read the book and it wasn't hard to follow at all. The movie probably skips a lot of details and speeds things up a bit... maybe thats why some find it hard to follow. Either way I bet the book is a lot better.

Edit: If they added anymore details to the movie it would probably make it borign though.

I saw it, dissapointed, seeing how the book got so much hype. I would have rather seen "Over The Hedge." Which I'm sure would have been more entertaining. The movie wasn't horrible, the puzzles and stuff were kinda cool, and how stuff winds together, makes you think a lot. But I'm pretty sure the book blew it out of the water.

Won't watch it again.

Most reviews have been bad. Common consensus is that everyone except Ian McKellan fails at their roles, especially Tom Hanks, who was apparently totally miscast.
I think if you haven't read the book you'll probably enjoy the movie more, since the whole appeal of the book was the suspense and mystery of solving the puzzles and working out the clues. If you've read the book, the story loses 99% of it's appeal 'cause you know exactly what's gonna happen already.
I doubt I'll be checking this movie out, even if I can rent it or whatever. It really doesn't appeal to me at all, and I've read the book so I don't want to spoil the impression I got from it. I'll give it a miss.

I saw it. It was alright. A good way to pass time if you're bored. Worth the money I paid for it. Some of the filming is really well done, like the 'story-telling' sections. The acting was very, very good. This talk about being miscast is bullshit, in my view they couldn't have picked anyone better for every role (apart from Jean Reno. He was wasted in his role as the detective, as he had so few lines it really wasn't worth him). There is a hell of a lot of talking, but it's broken up nicely. It's not hard to follow, it misses out very minor points from the book but not enough to have you gasping.

7.5/10.

Movies are 10€ here which is like $12 if not even more..

I'm probably gonna see it soon eventhough it's probably not any good. It's just a must see for me just like, say AVP and Doom were because I was a fan of the games
