Turlock, California is about an hour and a half east of San Francisco (2 hours south of Sacramento).. right next to Modesto, Ca.

I live in George Lucas's home town (although he claims Modesto because it's population is bigger).

Moody contacted me on myspace and told me to come check out HGF. He wants to produce my DVDs.. but I told him I wouldn't give him the licenses until he could prove higher sales than I average. My CD and DVD sales are how I make a living, so of course I wouldn't settle for anything less.

Moody is also working with another old crew of mine called "Off The Hook TV" which is the wrestlers from Viva La Bam. If OTH's DVD takes off, then I'll think about it.

Until then, I'll be releasing my new album "From Zero 2 Stupid" which will be my first album to hit stores nation wide (I scored a distribution), so I'm in no hurry to jump on a DVD distribution deal.

lol.. yeah, I read that thread where you and Moody keep going toe 2 toe, lol..

I'm not saying I don't trust him.. I'm just waiting until I see some results.

Plus, I no he's working on HGC 2 and OTH TV, so he's going to have his hands full.

I spoke to him on the phone and he told me that he's had a lot of titles in stores before, but I couldn't find any info on the titles he gave me.. all I can find is what is on his website which means the other titles must not have done so well. He's also having a hard time finding an editor as well, but since he's been in the business for a few years (as he tell me), I'm suprized he never found one.

Another thing is, if he keeps switching editors as often as he says, then how will I know the work is getting done? I mean, wouldn't it be more cost effective to just let me edit my own videos? I have been in this business since 1999 and I've worked with all the best programs available out there.. (I learned on George Lucas's equipment in college). Moody still doesn't know exactly what an m2p file is. I'm not saying I'm the best editor in the world, but being the fact that I am the creator of all my own work.. it would be more understandable to let me edit my own videos, then send him the final cuts.. so why didn't he do that with homegrown?

One good thing I can say about Moody, is that he really does want to make something good. Think about it.. He's still new (wether he says it or not), yet he IS spending his own money to promote and duplicate the DVDS. It costs an average of about $2000 to press 1000 DVDS and I know he doesn't have a sponsor. So for him to put his faith into a project like that is definately a good sign that he's willing to push hard.

If Moody really wants this thing to work, he's gotta start working more with the footage providers.. after all, they are the ones who make the DVD worth buying.. not the editor or the "Producer".

Since this video was so impossibly, shit-eatingly bad, I've decided to pull out all the stops and go for a blow-by-blow review.

We open on to a "studio logo" that looks like someone's had a crack on Microsoft PowerPoint, complete with cheesy fire sound effects. Right away I know I can expect something good from this video.

TEEN JACKASS!

Before I begin, what the fuck is up with that music? That's a legitimate question, I honestly don't know. No one in their right mind would produce a video under the name of Fire Skull then put Gnarls Barkley over it. It's a piss-poor song and completely and utterly fails to go with the video in every single conceivable way. I'm already baffled and angry, and the video has barely begun.

First stunt: snapping polystyrene over their heads. This is hardly a worthy first stop on the "adventure of pain" that we were promised in the blurb.
Then two thumbs up to the camera! Man...I love your girl hair. Tell me how I can look as rawk as you guys.

Next, breaking a flimsy-looking piece of plywood, again over this guy's head. This stunt deserves a slow motion replay so we can experience it twice, and luckily it delivers. "OUCH!!!" proclaim the pink letters on a blue background. Ouch indeed. My eyes and ears are already bleeding, and we're not even a quarter of the way in.

What's that they're flinging themselves on in the next shot? A mattress? Their mum's giant leather underwear hung out to dry? We may never know. But it makes for awesome footage. More head abuse follows, this time with an empty watering can. As you've probably guessed, production values for this video are through the roof. What appears to be the younger fag then headers the watering can, and appears to break down into tears. Or maybe not, I just couldn't see his eyes, or any part of his face for his hair. Sweet, another slow-mo replay so we can catch it again.

Fag 1 is now busting out some amazing stunts on his BMX in an urban bike park. Nah, not really. More like riding into some trolley carrier without even coming off the bike. It's not really possible to put into words how pathically bad this looks. Fag 2 then rides a scooter (which deserves a paragraph to itself, but I won't digress) into a parking barrier, probably the best stunt so far, but then considering what we've seen that isn't really saying much. He falls on his arse and I marvel at the total lack of response this elicits from me.

Scooter and bike into bush...picture the same thing you've seen a million times before, then make it loads worse, take away the good editing and filming and stick a pop/R 'n' B song over the top, to get some idea.

I make no exaggeration when I say the next "stunt" is one of the funniest things I've ever seen. Ever. One of the guys approaches one of those old-fashioned corner shop signs, the kind that stand out in the middle of the pavement hanging inside a frame. Well, he gets down on his hands and knees and crawls through it. Then, he stands up.

And that's it. The only reason I didn't immediately hunt these two guys down for wasting precious seconds of my life was because I was laughing too hard to think straight.

The parkour section is a new low, even for this video. The two fags hop over bushes, climb over railings and jump off waist-high walls. After each clip I was begging them to stop because I was actually getting embarassed for them. But still, they go on, running through car parks, then cutting to a fucking amazing jump over a stack of wood.

IDOTS AREN'T WE?

That's probably a rhetorical question, but yes, you are the two fucking biggest "idots" I've ever known.

Tony Hawk, eat your fucking heart out. You've got competition from these guys, who have already learned how to skate three feet across a patio then come to a gentle stop.

Ooh don't throw that tennis ball! That could really hurt somebody...oh! Oh! He threw it! Oh my God that was fantastic! "OUCH IN THE NUTS" the anonymous narrator reports. I never would have thought that reading about a stunt could be far more rewarding than actually seeing it. In future I recommend all groups to do away with footage altogether and simply show blue slides with pink text proclaiming "FIRE BREATHE INTO FACE" or "IDOT HIT WITH TUBE LIGHT OUCH". Much better.

"NOW DONT TRY THIS AT HOME TRY IT OUTSIDE ITS MUCH FUNNER". I could mention their lack of apostrophes where appropriate, and the fact that "funner" is a made-up word, but that would just be pedantic.

Wow, they're pretty high up in the next shot. I actually got my hopes up, thinking that there was gonna be some jump and it would look pretty sweet. I was of course wrong, the cameraman turns around two full circles, catches his mate in shot, then we fade to black. I hit myself in the face for even letting the thought enter my mind that I might see a good stunt in this video. And so our adventure of pain comes to an abrupt end.

Credits roll, spelt mostly incorrectly but at least it's no surprise. What's this? They're not yet sponsored? Surely not. Any major production company would love to attach their names to these guys while sinking money into them. I'm thrilled to see they have an upcoming video "Idiots Are Fun", which I'm guessing will provoke me to gouge out my own eyes with a salad fork.

In conclusion, this was the worst homegrown video I've seen in my entire life, and I've seen the Scum Videos season 1. I hope my review at least entertained you a little, and may God be merciful and let those kids fall on their heads and enter irreversible comas some time in the near future.

Peace out.
