If someone in your group died....

Just wondering but If someone in your group died during a stunt and you filmed it happening , would you use the footage?

My answer would probably be "Yes because they told me that they would wanted me to use it if they ever died" if they didn't tell me then I wouldn't use it.

If it was my brother no, if it was like Cody yeah probably.

Matters what the situation was though, if he burned to death, broke his neck, or drown I'd wouldn't probably.

But if he like got hit by a car while skating or somthing I would probably.l

I think I might, it depends...depends on the friend, how they would feel about it, their families, and it depends how they died. if I died on film id want it released and if I got on of my freinds dieing id prolly want to put it in a vid, but I doubt neone else would want it in there.

Nah, I couldn't publish one of my good friend's death on a video, ever.

We shoot stunts and skateboarding, not snuff films, so I'd have to say no. Especially considering that the members of our group are close friends; if we just happened to be filming with some random strangers though and one of them happened to have a fatal accident during a stunt or something, then yeah, I'd probably use it. But that's about the only situation in which I'd use footage like that.

Not a chance because I wouldn't want people gawping at footage of someone I know dying and having perverts tossing off to it that visit sick sites where it would ultimatly end up on. I have to much respect for my friends and people in general to do that.

I don't understand how anybody could still use it, because it would like watching one of your friends die again which would be like the worst day of your life.

I wouldnt want anyone showing how I died because I was stupid enough to try to do something that could and in this case lead to my death. And if it wasnt a stunt gone wrong I have no idea why someone except a sick fucker would want to show or see it.


A rule of thumb: treat other ppl the same way you yourself would like to be treated



Showing death on video is wrong and unethical. It would be like saying yeah death is no big deal I dont care that this person died and I dont care about his or his familys feelings...

Cos I hate him so much, I would release the footage of skipper dying with "PWND!!11one" editied on.

Out of respect, I wouldn't release footage of someone I cared for dying. If it was someone else then I would.

the closest thing I have to this is footage of a murder scene the morning after someone had there face smashed in with a log outside KFC, poudle of blood and evedence cups ect

I've seen a few movies where they died doing a stunt, yet they still used the footage, it was one of those Bollywood movies.

As for me I wouldn't use the footage, unless they actuall said I should.
But if I died doing a stunt I'd wan't people to see it, I'd let people know.

but on the subject, if I was filming someone I knew. but weren't friends with them, I'd release it. I figured someone else would too if it was me and they weren't my friend. what am I going to do? come haunt them? is my family going to search the internet to find any movies of my death? why would they? why would anyone for that matter?

I've been submitted some pretty extreme footage and I wouldn't use it, nobody died but these guys could have died and I felt it was irresponsible of me to put out the footage. pretty much this video was borderline insane and stupidity mixed all into one.

I wouldn't show footage of somebody having a finger cut off, let alone footage of somebody dying. that's wrong.

I think the media would pick it up, and it would be shown to the world, and used against the HG community. So, it would be better not to show it. Also, as others said, it would be terrible for the family, and friends.

Recently a football (soccer) player died on the field, and his death was shown on television several times, slow motion, zoomed. I've found it disgusting that they have shown it. Just imagine the wife and his children had to watch it. BTW it wasn't an accident, he had a previously unknown heart problem, and he was in a situation when his blood pressure went up, and his heart stopped. He was standing, and just collapsed.

If I died in a video I wouldn't want to have died for nothing.

see, when you people say "their family has to watch it and watch it" who says they have to? it's not like a tv appears in front of them every second of the day replaying the video. you have a choice to watch it or not watch it.

and this doesn't include the fact it'll replay in your mind for years anyway.

And I would probably use it as like their last stunt kinda thing and put like R.I.P On it and there name and birth and death date, sort of like a tribute/rememberance kind of thing to them to show respect.

I would feel really bad though, using footage of a good mate or anyone in fact, dying.
