The best retailer in America finally decided to add prosumer cameras to their product line, and sure enough the Panasonic DVC30 is one of them.
As some of you know, I love Costco and am always urging members to buy their equipment from there. They have a solid 100% satisfaction guarantee on everything they sell aside from computers. No matter how fucked up the product is, if you want...you can return it and get every cent you paid right back.
I've been taking advantage of this since I was 14 and have literally returned nearly a dozen cameras since then...some in pieces. Evertyime I got all my money back. They almost never asked any questions.
Well, all this time Costco never had anything but consumer cameras. A few months ago I was searching for a professional camera, and because Costco had nothing to offer, I resorted to eBay.
I'm happy with the deal I got on my DVC30, but it's just my luck that they now are offering prosumer cameras, including the same one I just bought.
Costco's money back guaranteee is seriously the best thing never. Even if their prices are much higher than elsewhere, its worth it. The fact is...all cameras eventually break....and when they do...your cameras value instantly goes to complete shit.
Cameras are investments and the smartest thing you could ever do would be to buy one from Costco. I'm personally going to be buying another DVC30 just to take advantage of this opportunity while it lasts. Costco changes up their inventory daily so I have no clue how long they'll be carrying these for, but as soon as I can afford it...I'm on it.
Their selection is limited, but it just so happens that they are carrying 2 of the best cameras out there - the DVC30 and the DVX100.
