Facegen works quite simply:
Ideally you take 3 photos, one front view and two side views.
Then you define important common points like lips, nose etc.
After that you let the prog analyze the photos and you can watch the head taking shape from a general form to the photos appearance. The process needs quite a long time, dependent on the photo size and the CPU power.
The program tracks the defined features and tries to match all other contours to the photos.
You can also tell the programm to extract the textures from the photos you provided.
