Boeing to launch rival plane to A-380

You may have heard about the A-380 if you're into planes, it's the biggest commercial jet plane and dwarfs the 747. Alledgedly Boeing are launching a 1000 seater plane to rival the A-380. Design looks weird as hell...

1000 seater would be ambitious as fuck. Wonder how true the article is, I'd presume Boeing would wait to see the success of the Airbus prior to building an A-380 rival.

I know fuck all about planes but I did look at the link and from wat I saw it looks pretty kool (and strange)

I dont know much about planes, but that looks pretty cool.

The blended wing design is older than Methusalem.
The advantage is the lower fuel consuption because of the bigger aerodynamically effective area. But one big problem is that you'll fly in a bunker without windows. This is quite a problem for the passengers (airsickness, disorientation).
Only the persons sittings near the wing edge can biew outside. You also have to design a new concept for escape routes because the ways to the outer edges are too far away.
I'm looking forward to the news headlines:

"600 survived the crash but couldn't escape because the escape routes were blocked and too long."

If a plane crashes on the border of California and Nevada, where are the survivors buried?

The 747 has monumental amounts of thrust, but apparently on the airports that the A-380 is scheduled to fly to, the jet blast protection is having to be subnstantially upgraded as 747 grade protection won't suffice. Those are some powerfull engines
