G just found out that this IPB Gallery we just bought also has a feature where people can upload videos as well as images! So HGF will now have free hosting of videos + pics, and it will be displayed in a gallery format searchable by member, date, views, and shit.
This was quite a pleasant surprise. This should be very cool.
Gallery is installed now. G is configuring it at the moment.
To upload videos, I believe all you have to do is go to 'my controls' and the options are in there.

its still being configured, but basically you can do shit like batch upload videos and things. Were gonna put the cap at 20mb for now. It will be functioning shortly.

20MB file upload limit, currently limited to .wmv and .mov, although I am just about to add more extensions.
To upload to the gallery;

http://homegrownforums.com/index.php?act=m...&module=galleryVideos and images that have been uploaded can be shared with anyone anywhere with the media link.
I've still got a few things to configure in the way of aesthetics and adding links on HGF to the gallery, but otherwise everything is functional. Feel free to upload as many videos or images as you want and share them with anyone or wherever you want.

Also, is there anyway we could have it soo theres like a seperate gallery for videos and pictures? Or some sort of split, or something, I'd prefer that.
I don't mean too be picky but... also is there anyway of creating thumnails for the videos?
It doesn't matter, really, I don't mean too be picky, but I do like the idea of having like a seperate page for the videos and pictures, once it gets full, might become a lil' bitch.

I still need to do some work on the gallery in the way of adding additional media extensions. As the the videos and pictures showing up in different sections, I'll work on it. The thumbnails for the videos would be too time consuming to make the server auto generate them, however I have an idea about letting users upload an image that displays as a thumbnail for the image. I'll work on it.

Awesome Gman, it'l be worth it because the gallery will just look alot better and it'l be easier too navigate, too.
