Time for a little contest here, seeing as I now have my internet back.
Rules are simple. 3 rounds, after the 3 rounds members not participating will vote for the best all round performance.
Technicalities:
You will need a microphone and the file attachment button on HGF. To do this I will supply you with a blank file you can record over and save with Windows sound recorder. This file is located at: http://homegrownforums.com/blank.wav
The rules of this contest are that you may not sing over a song with lyrics in it. To download a recomposed track simply search google for "songnamehere midi", it should return several results...click whichever looks legit and download the midi file. Midi files contain only the music and no lyrics, so we can hear you clearly and not the artist. An example of MIDI's I have found from google can be seen here: http://www.midisite.co.uk/midi_search/james_blunt.html
To get the lyrics for the song you wish to sing simply type "songhere lyrics". As midi files are usually only recomposed for pop music, you will have difficulty locating midi files for less know artists and alternative genres.
To get this contest started we will need 5 people, including myself who want to participate. If you are interested type your name down here, next 4 people from this post interested will be in.
After typing your name down you gotta select 3 songs you wish to sing, firstly checking you can easily get the midi files for them. Each song will have to be posted in a day, so say you choose the first song out of your list of 3 that'd have to be done and posted within 24 hours otherwise you're out of the contest. One song a day can be posted and you can sing them in any order.
This should be fun, no prizes to give unfortunately as I'm broke.

* Maroon5 - She Will Be Loved
Once again, I remind you to check the songs you've selected are available in midi. If you change your mind about a song you may change one and one only.
