its cool for exposure but chances are they won't be crediting you and unless it says in that document that I can't open that you will be paid, I don't see anything about payment.
if u get your footage on dvd, u better see some money because the producer of that show is getting paid at least $300,000 - $1,000,000 per episode completed most likely depending on time, channel, etc...
just giving you guys a heads up. save your footage and get paid for you release it.

I agree with moody on this one, people might be saying its for exposure, but money says you wont get it.

To be honest I wouldn't go for this, it woudln't get you any exposure, as website links/ group names are not allowed in it. This is the footage guidelines for all that are interested.

That sounds so ripoff, and they possible make it the same way as americas funniest homevideos: hahah look at these idiots. And the production would suck anyway.

but atleast everyone from homegrown is true, and nothing is fake on homegrown...so it would be just another fox reality channel, exept no scrips or plans, but depends on group really, I mean I use plans and shit sometimes, for like excapes and ways of not getting caught doing anyting... but yeah over all, MTV is wrong...except beavis and butthead

Based on those guidelines it looks like the shittiest stuff ever. No cursing, no nudity, no violence, no vandalism, no race jokes, no showing logos... what are you gonna send in? a puppet show with a white background? "MTV sucks" FUCKIN RIGHT. Its good that they're sort of allowing people to send in footage, but they've got a ways to go before they get footage thats tv worthy, alot of those rules are gonna have to be stripped before they get real funny, hard stunt group footage that people would actually watch. I may be able to send them a clip of when my mom fell into the shark tank at the aquarium actually, that'd be funny. Oh wait, no because they called 911 and you hear it on the tape. Fuck that shit (plus no recognition at all).
