Im thinking about adding a reputation point system to HGF. Everytime you do something cool or gay, you can be given points accordingly. Something like this could help in choosing Mods, VIP members, and stuff of that nature.

Your thoughts?

Alright, but will it have a form where you back up why you're giving them the points? Otherwise it'll turn to shit like the CKF one.

it's an interesting gimmick, but I reckon people don't need "rep points" to show what kind of person they are. on this forum, the only people who really matter know what everyone is like anyway.

So are rep points given for stuff done in the VIP? Like my recent contributions?

Will these be visable to us? Or will it be like the warning system?

im pretty sure there is a coloured square under your avatar or something, if red it means you have a bad rep, if green you have a good rep, and if blank your neutral.

Hopefully the system doesnt get abused.

Mods and Admins may be biased for people they may not like for a personal reason...

Personnaly, I think it's un-needed and could just make people feel more isolated. But if it does come in, I'll bake cookies for whoever rates me good.

-5 points for spelling idea wrong...

I don't think it's necessary, it will most likely just get abused, and will cause more conflicts than good things, the people that you like are going to stay the same whether they have 235437 points or none, so it's really unnecessary. I can just see there being hundreds of OMG\Z who gave me minus points for that, and it spouting lots of bitchyness and hissy fits.

I don't see why it's particularly needed. Everyone knows what everyone's like on here anyway.

I wouldnt do it if it didn't give you the option to leave a comment and explain why youre adding points to their rep.

yeah, it was actually your contributions that motivated to do this.

It's a sweet idea.

But it could cause some conflict like others said... but it will motivate people also.

People who don't wan't it done are afraid because they might not have good rep points. :D

It's not like if you get so many negative points your banned. Like Weak said, it's more for fun, if people start to bitch or complain, they need to grow up a bit. I'm sure all of us on here, have done good things, and not so good things. So I think it could be fun.
