I've been adding a lot of my own personal clips to eFukt lately and I just noticed today that theyre all being stolen by a dozen different sites. I wouldn't mind so much if they didnt cut out our watermark. What really sets me off is that I asked all these sites to take the clips down and I was ignored by all but 2.

So I can relate man, fuck em up.

80% of all sites that use our clips leave our website on there.
The rest all agree to put it back in our place our site adress on their site.


This shit here is a tv show though....and I aint down with that.....

were you and your crew ever in the best of byw dvd series?

luke handle and probably like 4 or 5 other people I know were in the best of byw dvd series, at least 3 groups I know of never signed over their footage to rick mahr but he still used it without their consent.

then he used the identities of some of these people in the footage he didn't have conset to use as video game characters in those 2 video games they have.

personally I would never do some shit like this because it's illegal and immoral but this kind of stuff happens a lot in the dvd business, not so much on tv because they have extensive legal authorization for every show that airs on tv.

you might have arranged a deal in the past with a company and they resold or licensed out the footage they bought off of you in the past. I would think back on any past deals you might have had, especially with any company or corporation that runs e! and any other channels your material has been on in the past.

I think that clip is pretty new, so they must've stolen it.

Yes I was in the best of the backyard series, but someone else who had some footage I was in sent it in, so I had no control over that, but that I dont mind....

This was footage that was filmed like 2 weeks ago....From what I heard the host said..."remember when the internet was supposed to be used for learning? *smash* I guess its also used for vasectomys" Im having someone tape the repeat today, hopefully the clip is in there... If so I can persue this further.


As far as our shit being on ebaums or other sites....
I dont mind if they throw their watermark on there, as long as they keep our website adress in the video.
If they take it out, I contact them, Ask them nicley to do it, and they will either fix it, or add our website on their website, so either way we get our publicity....we have even had a few deals thrown at us becsuse the site wants exclusive content.
This E! thing is different because this is a tv show...and they should know better.

here's the deal, on a lot of these websites, when you or other people post these videos, you sometimes check off a box that says that you give "this website the control to do whatever they want" with the video on a non-exclusive basis. you might have checked mark that box when u or somebody in your group submitted video and the website resold the video to E! or E! has some ownership in a website you might have posted that video on and checked a non-exclusive rights agreement.

the secret to get around it is, have somebody else post the links everywhere without your "direct verbal" permission and then you can claim that you never agreed for the video to be put on their website. but if u do it yourself they have your ip # and can claim u posted it.

Thats actually true. Those Terms of Service on those sites when you submit videos are such bullshit.

The only sure way to make sure your shit doesnt get jacked is to watermark your content, and watermark it good. For the clip of me fucking with Kelly Osbourne...I put my watermark dead in the center of the video and make it 50% transparent. sounds like u have a case unless one thing happened. you submitted this video to a website like collegehumor or another website that made you check off that you share non-exclusive rights. yikers doesn't have that on the submission form but they very well can be owned by another website and by you check marking the box on collegehumor or another website, they can redistribute your video on any of their other websites.

so that might come up. but if not and this website just stole your footage, that is scummish. but honestly, I just can't see E! letting some random clip get passed legal dept or the clearance department.
