I almost died today

to make a long story short, I had my friend matt boone visiting town. likely you've read his wrestling news reports online before in the past. anyways he was visiting town to watch ufc 59. we're both going to the show together tomorrow so I pick him up at the airport at around 7 p.m.

within 2o minuntes we're on the 15 freeway heading north and it's been raining like a mother fucker all day in southern california, like insane rain. I'm driving on the freeway, probably like 60 mph because it's raining, im not speeding. all of a sudden I just totally lost control of the wheel. I must have hit an oil slick on the freeway or something like that, I have no diea. the tires are turning insane left and then right and then left... I'm holding on tight as fuck to the wheel, the wheel isn't turning but the car is moving like crazy, totally out of control. scientifically, the car should not be swaying back and forth totally out of control like this, the wheel is not moving. one person told me this sounds like I hydro-planed.

the car then all of a sudden swerve a right right turn on the freeway and im curring across the freeway totally out of control, my hands are on the wheels but the tires are slick and can't be controlled.

my car does a complete 180 degree turn and smashes into the outside wall of the freeway. I'm stuck against the outside wall of the freeway watching traffic drive at 50-70 mph right into the front of my car. it was like looking death in the face.

the ford f-150 smashes into the front of my car. AMAZINGLY me and boone are startled but totally unscathed and energy free. it was amazing that we survived the crash in my opinion. to take such an impact head on of an f-150, the noise, the impace, and then to walk away from it like nothing happended is an amazing thing. seriously, if there are angels, they were there today and what happened today only makes me believe more in something like that.

my car is likely totalled but me and my passengers are safe and injury free and when you see death driving into your face, you think about a lot of shit really fucken fast and I'm very happy to be alive.

crazy shit, but it's just fate, if you were suppose to die there, you would have. it's a life lesson, so hopefully you won't take shit for granted anymore.

my body is fine, I dont have a scratch, but emotionally it feels like somebody just stabbed me with a knife. plus I love my car. I hope its fixable but if now, im alive and ill get another car.

Sounds you lke you hydroplaned man. Driving in the rain in the LA area is definitely not safe. My girlfriend commutes from downtown to Hollywood every day for work and sees accidents happens all the time. Its scary shit.

Anyway, I saw on the news all kinds of accidents due to the rain, not sure if I saw you on there but yeah...the rain blows. Its impossible to get anywhere without extreme traffic.

I doubt I was on the news. they for sure covered the story because my car was in the lane that took all cars from the 15 freeway to the 10 east so on a friday in the rain at 7:30, traffic was backed up at least 5 miles. they definitely talked about it on the news I would think.

the only thing on the news they should be talking about is the amazing act of a miracle it was that me and my friend didn't get killed.

no joke. ford f-150 drives into the front of your car at speeds at least 45 mph straight into your face. to be honest with you something happened today in that car that I can't explain. there's a period of at least 3 seconds that I can't recall but I wish I could. it was like when the car started this huge wide turn into the side of the freeway, I knew I was safe and protected. what gave me that feeling? I have no clue. what protected me from getting even one scratch on my body, one injury...? I have no clue. but it was something that I can't explain but it wasn't normal. when that truck hit me head on tonight it was like I was taken out of my car and put back into my car once the impact was over.

no jooke. what happened tonight will live with me forever. it was intense on so many levels.

I've hydroplaned a few times. Once I did a 180 for about 3 seconds, then spun back around and kept going straight. Scariest shit in the world.

kind of like a dream, yes. very odd feeling. im sitting here thinking what to type to describe it but I can't think of how to describe it. it's something u just can't describe and even though u see this big fucken truck driving into your face, you know you will be safe. that's not normal because I flinch when somebody throws a fake punch. this was on an entirely different level than that.

shooting footage in LA during the summer is great. you go shoot a bum documentary out at the beach and u get a tan and have fun. you will love LA in the summer when u start up some productions or if u work with me.
