Mini DV Transfer

Ok, so right now I don't have a camera due to all 3 of our cams being seized by the police and I want to upload a bunch of footage. I was wondering if there's something you can buy, like a mini DV transfer deck which will allow you to upload footage via firewire to your PC (Ha, I have no idea if these exist...It just seemed logical).
Obviously I don't want to have to buy a new camera just to upload stuff so something like this would be ideal.

Anyone know if you can get these or anything similar?

Pretty much everyone family has a video cam these days.

I borrow Joe's every now and then but it takes the piss. Plus he's unreliable.
I'd rather have something else anyway, so when I get my XM2 back I don't have to use it to capture, meaning the heads won't be used as much or whatever.

I think there is no such thing. There is, actually, but costs more than a cam I think. They are not listed at amazon.co.uk, maybe only available in the US.

Some dv decks cost $3000, if you have a limited budget, you better off just getting a whole camcorder.

In Blade Trinity when that person films Blade killing a human she puts the footage on a computer using one of these. Try and find out what that is.
