Has anyone read the book the da vinci code? It was an awesome book. It was nothing like "national treasure". It starts out as more of a murder mystery, and then it goes from there....but it is really really good. If anyone on here likes to read, they should definately read it...I started reading it and couldn't put it down. Finished reading it 12 hours later

I saw the trailer at theatre like 3 times already. never read the book but I dont read anyways. but its got to be good because tom hanks is in it. it was such a big book theres no way this is gonna be bad. in the trailer there are alot of car accidents though...

yeah, I've been waiting for this one to come out for forever....I read the book last summer, and not long after, they announced the movie being made....I can't wait to see it.....does anyone know when it is coming out in the us?

The Da Vinci Code was a great read, but I still rate Angels And Demons, the first book, better. I've read all Dan Brown's books, and most are quite good. The name escapes me, but the one where they think tey've found an alien craft under the arctic is especially good.
Silas doesn't look as menacing, and the crippled proffessor doesn't look as fat as I would have imagined, but it still looks quite good. Shame they've used the music that pretty much every thriller does.
If they stick to the plot well, it should be seeable.

They will be sure to miss out something that was just as important to the book. That happens with most adaptions of books.

Aparently the davinci code isn't really that deep or philosophical, I haven't read it but was talking to my teacher who's like the smartest woman I know and she was like yeah it's a bit shite really. Light reading, so I am not really bothered with it anymore.

Angels and Demons is so much better than Da Vinci Code and IMO they should be making a film of that instead. I'm reading Digital Fortress now

I read the book and loved it. Since then I have read Angels and Demons and liked that just tas much. Maybe not all of it is based on fact but the way it is wrote makes you think it is... Maybe it is.
The movie looks good from what I have seen. But no movie based on a book ever lives up to its book form.
But everyone should read The Da Vinci Code! Its just one of them books that has taken everyone in... and all the bad press just adds to it.

I've had the book waiting for me to read it since christmas but books+me just doesn't seem to work.
