Hungover, I'm going to give my best shot at writing a review on this movie 
The Dudesons Movie
I went to the movietheater yesterday with some of my friends to see this movie and here's what I thought of it.
First I gotta say that I was expecting a LOT from this movie, the way it has been advertised and hyped so it might have affected my opinion on the movie in a negative way.
The Dudesons Movie is a 80-minute film that shows the life of Jukka, Jarppi, HP and Jarno, "Best friend's since childhood", as it's wildest. The theatrical version starts with Jarppi (the funny guy) appearing on the screen and telling everyone to go home because there is no Dudesons movie, it was never done, and that this is the biggest prank ever pulled in filmindustry. It gave the audience and myself some laughs.
The intro started off in the same editing style as the trailer that I'm sure everyone reading this topic has already seen. Them walking on the ice, saying a couple of cheesy lines and stuff like that. The editing in the intro was topnotch and artistic and it really gave me a good feeling about the movie. It didn't show that many hardcore stunts though, but it was just the intro so it didn't bother me.
The movie itself after the intro started a little lame, or at least it was a little bit of a let down for me. As I said I'm hungover at the moment, so I can't remember too much what came where in the movie, but the biggest let down for me was when I noticed that I had seen most of the stuff before. This was the biggest surprise for me because I had lived under the impression that they had been filming just for this movie for years. But seeing stuff that I had seen on my own tv years ago on their tv shows was a disappointment.
I'm sure this only regards the people here in Finland because their stuff is still very good and I'm sure that someone who hasn't seen this stuff before will drop their jaw. But to me and I'm sure to most fellow Dudeson fans this was just like watching a long mixup of their best stuff. Another thing that bugged me a lot was the poor cutting on some of their better footage. Some good stunts were only shown for a short second or so when everyone clearly would've liked to seen more. I'd like to keep the phrases 'cutting' and 'editing' very much apart in this case though, because the effects and the artistical lay-out were very well made. The movie was momentarily a little bit too documentarylike too.
Enough with the critique. The Dudesons are hilarious. I gotta say that, because that's one thing that really is true. Their life on the Dudeson ranch, the way they pull pranks on each other and outsiders, non-stop, is among the best elements in the movie. I mean pouring flammable liquids on your friend who's sleeping and setting him on fire with him still sleeping is hilarious. Seeing Jukka fall into a pile of poo beneath an outhouse being tricked by Jarppi and Jarno really cracks one up too.
One of my favorite parts in the movie, and I'm sure that a lot of people would agree with me, are the two pranks they pull on their neighbour who's credited as "Mr.Hitler". I'm not gonna go in detail and spoil your fun, but the motive for these pranks is to get even with him being an asshole to them all their childhood. So you probably understand that their not going to settle this with a simple ding-dong ditch.
The Dudesons are funny. They might be on the verge of paralalyzing themselves but still they can get a laugh out of it. Their (forced) english might sound annoying to some people too, but I thought it was pretty funny. They also give a pretty twisted picture about Finnish people, which is pretty funny.
I'd advise you people to watch this movie when you get the chance. There are some sick stunts in this movie, a lot of them shown previously on the Finnish TV however, but if you have missed those (which you obviously have) this movie is going to be a refreshing experience for you. This also explains why they have taken all their old videos off their website.
