Depends. Where do you live? How old are you? You have to register through your state I believe and you have to be 18.

is there like a godaddy.com for LLC's where you can check the availability of a certain name that you like? and I still don't really get what I do to register an LLC like do I deal with a lawyer or what do I do pretty much step by step.

and they have a ton of 10% promotional discount codes so maybe search for that online first.
llcs can cost over $1,000 to do through a lawyer but you can get it done through LegalZoom.com for like $250-$400.
