Want to buy a cam, help me

I am really think about changing my actual camera that is a digital camera, sony cybershot p-41 and star to film with some real cameras, but I want to know wich is the better choise for me!

I want some camera that its easy to pass the videos to pc (with good quality), its possible to do with usb or coaxial cable?

hi-8, mini-dv, and all the stuffs wich its better for me?

image quality and easy to pass for pc, and how does those cams get the videos? hd, tape, mini-dvd or memory sticks?

I just recently bought a handycam and there not the easiest to put videos on the computer but there good quality camera and kinda cheap too, mine was just 350$, its a Hi8, I think

Mini DV is the way too go man, also, you should buy a firewire and use that instead of a USB wire.

I'm looking for a new one myself but I'd say Sony, JVC and Panasonic's are the ones too look out for. If you find a camcorder you like search for the review on this site; CamInfo So you can get an idea of how good it is.

dude, don't even think about getting hi-8 or vhs-c or the video gots will rain down on you with great vengeance and slit your shit wide open.

get a sony dcr-hc21... it shoots on mini-dv and transfers easeily to computer with fire wire. The camera is only 300-350 duckets. It's perfect to start with and the qaulity is pretty fuckin good... way better than any hi-8 cams. I didn't even know they still make hi-8.

I have a Sony Digital8 camcorder and just brought a whole new computer that has a firewire port so ill be using that. How much of a difference in the quality of the videos is there when you switch from the usb to firewire?
